Knowing People by The Spirit by Roberts Liardon
This is a big problem in the church today, especially among ministries, because you can view people according to what you see in the natural, but that view will not always bring accurate discernment. That view may not provide the true facts about that person. Scriptures says “Henceforth know we no man after the flesh.” If we don’t know people after the flesh, then how do we know them? We’ve got to know them by the Holy Spirit. Many people disconnect from ministries because they get close enough to see that the man of God puts his shoes on like everyone else; he’s still human. When they see the human side of him, it short-circuits them. They don’t know how to handle it. This is a revelation we all need to come to; we’re all human but anointed by God. We all have weaknesses. And when you get close enough to someone, you’re going to see signs of those weaknesses. This is something we have to learn right now in the Body of Christ.
