Statement of Faith

We believe in:

The Holy Bible is the inspired and authoritative word of God. It is without error in all its teachings. It is our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine. (2 Tim. 3:16; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (John 10:30; Ephesians 4:4-6; Matthew 28:19).

Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. (Matthew 1:23; Isaiah 7:14; Luke 1:35).

Jesus was crucified and died for the sins of mankind on the cross at Calvary, was buried and rose from the dead on the third day. He ascended into Heaven and is forever seated at the right hand of God the Father. (I Corinthians 15:3-4; Ephesians 1:7. John 11:25; Mark 16:19).

Salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God.  (Eph. 2:8; Acts 4:12).

Baptism in water is by immersion, just as Jesus Christ was baptized. This ordinance is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (Matt. 3:13-17; John 3:23; Acts 8:36-38; Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:4; Col. 2:12; Acts 8:36-39).

The Baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the New Birth. This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance (Matt. 3:11; John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:38-39; Acts 19:1-7; Acts 2:4).

Jesus Christ will visibly return to the earth in glory and in power. The dead in Christ will rise first and those alive in Christ will be in the presence of God for eternity. (1 Corinthians 15:51-57; Revelation 20:11-15; John 5:28-29).
