God is not merely interested in having people know about Him; He desires that they grow in the knowledge of His person, His ways, and His eternal purposes. The pursuit of God’s secrets begins with recognising that there is more to know about Him and responding with humility and a desire to learn. The fear of the Lord is not simply being afraid of God. It involves reverence for His holiness, respect for His authority, and a willingness to submit to His instructions. A person cannot genuinely pursue the wisdom of God while deliberately refusing to honour Him. The knowledge of God must influence the way a believer thinks, makes decisions, treats others, and responds to divine instruction. Spiritual understanding is therefore connected to the posture of the heart. Humility makes a person teachable, while pride can prevent someone from receiving correction or recognising the limitations of personal understanding.
