The kingdom of God that Jesus is talking about is the spread of God’s rule and reign throughout the world. In other words, what Jesus is saying is that with the coming of the king, Me, the reign of God is going to spread throughout the world. As people receive the Gospel and submit their lives to Christ, submit their lives to me, says Jesus, then God’s reign and rule will spread throughout the world. God’s kingdom is growing but it’s not received by all. And when it’s not received by some, the problem will not be the seed, but as we shine our light, people are drawn to this light and hence drawn into the kingdom.
