Spiritual Lukewarmness Part 1 & 2 by APOSTLE JOTHAM BOBAI
Lukewarmness is a symptom of the cancer of unfaithful unbelief in the soul. If left untreated it will result in an unspeakably horrible experience. Lukewarmness causes spiritual lethargy and stunts our growth. It results in insincere worship of God, mediocre service and indifference to the suffering of others. Spiritual lukewarmness is a lack of commitment to God, or a compromised faith. It can be characterized by a lack of passion for God, or a tendency to settle for a lukewarm existence. Some signs of spiritual lukewarmness. To be on fire for God is to realize our need for Him. To be zealous literally means to be heated and brought to a boil. If this is not the definition of being hot, I don’t know what is. And, Jesus links this action with another important act: repentance. When we realize our need for Jesus Christ we live in a posture and attitude of repentance. This is what it means to be on fire for God and to fight against Spiritual Lukewarmness.
