Our understanding of God: The more we know God, the more we realize how little we actually know. His ways are higher than our ways, His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. He is infinite, eternal, unchanging. We can spend a lifetime studying the Scriptures, praying, worshiping, serving, and still only scratch the surface of the depths of His wisdom, His love, His grace. But God is calling us to stretch our tent curtains wide, to enlarge our understanding of Him, to deepen our knowledge of His Word, to grow in our relationship with Him.  Our capacity to love: God is love, and He calls us to love one another as He has loved us. But our human love is often limited, conditional, self-centered. We love those who love us, we love those who are like us, we love when it is convenient and comfortable.
