The Christian life is not designed to be lived by human strength alone. There are battles, responsibilities, challenges, and assignments that require the believer to become deeply conscious of God’s presence and dependent upon His power. The presence of God is one of the greatest privileges available to the believer. God’s presence is not merely an atmosphere or an emotional feeling experienced during worship. It represents God’s active involvement, fellowship, leadership, protection, and power. Throughout Scripture, God’s presence distinguished His people from those around them. Moses understood the importance of this when he insisted that God’s presence must accompany Israel on their journey. n a world where people often depend on intelligence, money, connections, influence, and human strength, the believer is reminded that there is an advantage that surpasses all these things—the presence of God. God’s presence does not promise a life without battles. Instead, it guarantees that we do not have to face those battles alone. When God is with us, difficult seasons can become opportunities for growth, opposition can become an opportunity for victory, and impossible assignments can become opportunities to demonstrate His power.
