In this sermon it was said that every man dignity is tied to his work. Next to your family is your work. your true measure of responsibility is his work. The portion of an idle man is slavery. Paul speaking from scripture: But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
