GROWTH AND MATURITY By Apostle Joshua Selman

Growth is one of the relevant features of living things. All living things created by God have been identified to have the inherent ability to increase in size. Therefore, when a fowl lay eggs and incubate them for many days, it is expected of the eggs to grow into chicken and after some time be hatched. Time is the common yardstick for the measurement of growth. However, different living organism have different time frame for growth and maturity. Just as there is biological growth, emotional growth, intellectual growth, there is also spiritual growth. Of all the above mentioned, only biological growth occurs naturally. All other forms of growth are sponsored by man. You are called into the marvelous light of God and therefore born again, it is your responsibility thereafter to nurture your spirit with the diets that can produce spiritual growth in you. Time spent in the church or the duration of time in which you been serving in God’s vineyard does not equally translate into spiritual growth and maturity. You grow spiritually by the acquisition of the right knowledge about God and His dimensions.
