The reason Jesus came to died was to reveal the intent of the love of God towards man. The death of Jesus was not an end but a means to an end which is to bring reconciliation between man and God. Reconciliation means to restore relationship, to bring to an end all guilt and fear. The reconciliation process was meant to remove anything called fear when dealing with God. He wants us to have peace with Him. The consciousness of the peace of God that you have gives you the confidence to receive from the Lord.
