The doctrine of repentance is not just a denominational rites or self imposed practices. Repentance is a compulsory change in one’s way of life after the realization of the truth. It is a transformation that is spur by the realization of the detrimental state of one’s life. One of the causes of the current problems in the body of Christ today is the implication of lack of genuine repentance. Many believers after they had been convicted of their sins by the Holy Spirit and chose to do the will of God only made confession by thier mouth but do not take action that is capable of preventing them from commiting same sins. They thought once they had asked for the forgiveness of sins and God has forgiven them, then they are set to move on with life and still commit the sin again waiting to ask God for another forgiveness. Some on the other hand wrongly believes that when they confess thier sins once, any other sin they commit afterwards has been washed away by the blood of Jesus. These and many other wrong assumptions were responsible for the reasons while revival is not visible in our midst. Regional or Territorial revival is only possible when their is personal revival that when the revived share thier testimonies, It brings much people into the realization of thier sins and create in them great desired to yield onto  God’s calling.
