In the prayer language of tongues, The ability to pray in tongues is the first model of prayer, but this has been sadly neglected by beievers. Praying in the spirit graphyically does not mean praying in tongues. Paul said I will pray with the spirit and with understanding and the two does not mean the same thing. The prayer language is not the same as the gift of divirse tongues. Praying in the spirit is a language the devil cannot understand and the gift of the spirit is for believers to profit withall. So The gift of the spirit is not necesserily for personal edification. To pray according to scriptures have four major dimensions or assignment in the life of a believer: The major assignment are for growth and transformation, making request and obtaining promises, for spiritual legislation and for warfare and intercession.
