The gift of the Lord Jesus Christ is the only gift you and have ever received that came straight down from Heaven, without a maker, without a beginning. God gave His Son, Jesus Christ, as a gift to you because He knew we were in desperate need. Sin had wrecked and ruined humanity. Every single one of us has sinned against God. Every single one of us has lived at some point in our life under the condemnation of God, under the wrath of God, under the threat of that wrath. And yet when we trusted Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, when we received that gift we didn’t just receive a gift, we received a very needed gift.
