The cross is seen as a symbol of sacrifice because Jesus gave up His glory on it. It is seen as a symbol of shame because Jesus was publicly humiliated on it. It was a symbol of suffering because Jesus experience pain and suffering on it. It is a symbol of salvation because Jesus perfected our redemption on it. There was no way Jesus could have fulfilled His purpose of coming to earth than to have died for us all. It is until you learn how to look up to Jesus and not the circumstances that surrounds your existence that you can be victorious always.
