There is power in prayer and fasting However, Jesus prayed and fasted for forty days and forty night till he was led up by the spirit to be tempted but he won the battle over the temptation of the devil by the word of God. He also performed signs and wonders and healed the sick. The disciples also tried performing miracles but they couldn’t the Jesus said this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting. Therefore, brothers, select from among you seven men confirmed to be full of the Spirit and wisdom. We will appoint this responsibility to them and will devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word.
