Every believer has a divine purpose. God does not create people randomly; He creates with intention, assignment, and a design that is connected to His Kingdom agenda. However, discovering purpose is not the same as fulfilling purpose. Apostle Michael Orokpo teaches that there are specific spiritual and personal requirements a believer must develop in order to successfully walk in and complete God’s assignment for their life. Purpose can be understood from several dimensions, including God’s divine intention, calling, assignment, and the unique design of an individual. The first responsibility of a believer is therefore to discover why God created them. After discovering that purpose, the next responsibility is to live for it and remain committed to it. The sermon emphasizes that purpose existed in the heart of God before the individual appeared on earth. Therefore, discovering purpose means discovering the divine intention behind one’s existence. Purpose is God’s intention concerning our existence, but fulfilling that purpose requires our cooperation. We must seek God deeply, receive direction, discipline ourselves, remain patient, seek wisdom, cultivate godly relationships, listen to the Holy Spirit, and obey divine instructions. The journey may contain seasons of obscurity, waiting, sacrifice, and preparation. These seasons should not automatically be interpreted as failure.
