Victory in life is not determined by strength, intelligence, human connections, or personal effort alone. There are situations in which human knowledge and experience are insufficient to provide the direction needed to overcome challenges. This is where divine wisdom becomes essential. Divine wisdom is the ability to see, understand, and respond to situations according to God’s counsel. It goes beyond ordinary intelligence because it involves receiving and applying God’s perspective in the decisions we make. Scripture reveals that wisdom is not something believers must depend entirely on their natural abilities to obtain. They can seek God for the wisdom required to navigate the responsibilities and challenges of life. Divine wisdom helps believers recognise the right priorities, avoid destructive choices, and respond appropriately to different seasons. Human strength, knowledge, and experience are valuable, but they cannot replace divine wisdom. God’s wisdom provides direction, develops discernment, helps believers make sound decisions, and enables them to respond to life’s challenges in ways that honour Him. The pursuit of victory must therefore include the pursuit of wisdom. Believers must learn to depend on God, study His Word, cultivate fellowship with the Holy Spirit, remain humble, and obey His instructions. Victory is not simply about having the ability to overcome challenges; it is also about having the wisdom to navigate them according to God’s will.
