An encounter crystalises the reality of a thing, person, or idea to produce convictions. The Believer in Christ Jesus is a product of encounters. When a Believer’s journey is not based on genuine encounters with God, they will struggle to remain steadfast and effective. When Believers lack an understanding of the Body of Christ, they cannot have a balanced growth, and certain dimensions of God will remain foreign or inaccessible to them. Within the Body of Christ lies the wisdom and grace for excellence, for the manifestation of the power of God, and the grace to build and last. The Holy spirit will never train a Believer outside the character and patterns revealed in Scripture. No matter how rare or unique a Believer’s training may seem, there is always a scriptural model, a person in the Bible or Jesus Himself, who reflects that dimension. Eventually, you’ll always find a parallel in Scripture. When a Believer truly gains an understanding of the Scripture, the wisdom and grace connected with it will inevitably rest upon their life. In the Kingdom, a Believer is transformed by looking unto Jesus Christ and by following worthy roles models, who themselves are looking unto Jesus Christ. No matter how supernatural and spectacular an encounter is, it must be vetted under the radar of the wisdom and power of God, and if it is not consistent with the Word of God, you have the right to reject and dump it. One of the ways to verify supernatural encounters is the degree to which that experience produces Christ in you. God is most silent in the season of testing and proving, but know that His silence is a message; when you don’t hear His voice, trust His presence. One of the ways to know that you’re in the season of proving and testing must be allowed to complete its full work in your life. God announces people in two principal ways: By using other people, or by using a supernatural means without any human assistance. You haven’t truly exited a season until you emerge with a testimony: a testament of trusting God in the midst of the fire.
