Summary of Dying Daily by Bro Gbile Akanni 

This message is a message of total reconciliation to God, taken from the speech of Apostle Paul which says I DIE DAILY.

The death Apostle Paul was talking about here is not a physical death, but the death of a man called flesh, daily as we live we must be striving to put fles under subjection of the spirit of God.

Everyday of of our lives men will come to seek after the work of the flesh in us, people will come to provoke you, just for you to show that Mr. flesh is still manifesting in your life, but we must be able to tell them that is dead, you’re no longer together.

There will be sometimes the spirit of God will want us to do his will, but when flesh is still alive in us we’ll find it difficult to do it, we must crucify flesh in us to be alive with Jesus,

It will take the death of flesh in a life of a believer to do what God instruct us to do, The more the death of Mr flesh in us the more we are alive unto God, The death of old is a gradual death because it’s inherited, naturally flesh is inherited, imagine you don’t teach a child not to lie, but you’ll just see that he starts to lie just to protect him/herself from discipline, but the more we alive to Jesus the more weaken flesh is, and eventually it will come to the subjection of the will of God.

The Bible says he that is in Christ is a new creature of things have passed away,(2cor5v17) the proof that you’re in Christ and you are growing is to see the work the flesh being neutralized in our lives.

You can’t be in Christ and at the same time be in darkness, Old things, the will of the flesh, the instructions of the flesh, the lust of the flesh, the pleasures of the flesh must go away,

I come to know that the essence of death of Jesus is to bring us back to God, to live a life that will please God forever, if we don’t want the death of Jesus to be a waste in our lives, After knowing that we need to live for Christ and not to please flesh in us, how do we help our spirit to grow?

The equation is this, the way natural flesh can’t live without physical food, the same way the inner man can’t do without spiritual food, we can grow our spirit man by studying the word of God deligently, the more we study, the more our spirit man come to live and and he’s coming to life the old man is dying daily

We must feed our spirits man with milk and bone of scriptures to enhance our growing, and another thing is we can put flesh under subjection by constant prayer. The flesh and spirit can’t go hand in hand, it’s either flesh is at work or the spirit of God is at work, the more we are feeding/ nurturing our spirit man the more flesh become powerless and will e ventually die,

As we are also growing In spirit we must share the death and resurrection of Jesus to those that are yet to know him, that’s, we’ll see that life now, we have many preacher buy are they preaching the cross? Our teaching/preaching must be centered on Jesus Christ.
