The Second Coming of Christ will be a literal, physical, and globally visible event, entirely unlike His first, humble arrival. It will not be a secret event; “every eye will see Him. Christian belief holds that the end times will be preceded by specific signs, require spiritual preparedness from believers, and culminate in the public and powerful return of Jesus Christ to judge the world and establish His eternal kingdom. The purpose of these signs is not to incite fear, but to motivate believers to be spiritually vigilant and live in active anticipation of Christ’s return.
