Fasting is a situation of setting aside the flesh for the spirit in order to connect with God for a change of situation. Fasting is one of the weapon every believer use to connect with God. The true fasting as seen in the scripture is a day for a man to afflict his soul, loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke. Jesus also taught us how to pray when he taught the disciples. So we need to follow the blueprint of what fasting means as seen in the scripture.
