In this sermon it was said that the next worst thing that can happen to a man after hellfire is a bad marriage. A bad singular decision on whom you marry will determine the totality of your destiny. It will determine whether you are going to fail or succeed, whether you are going to sink or survive. The choice is the act of exercising your willpower, however, in the issue of marriage, your choice should not play out but it should be the will of lord so that God will be able to defend you in the days of adversary.
That is why, on the wedding day, if you listen carefully to the words that are read to them, it is dangerous. In fact, it looks like a death sentence. They always say “Marriage is not what you just rush inside like a brute that has no brain” that is to say it is not something you do without thinking deeply, without working hard, without knowing what you are doing.
