Sin brings only destruction and loss, both in this life and in eternity. We know from our preaching through Genesis that sin entered the world through Adam and Eve’s decision to reject God’s command and to believe the devil’s lie that You will be like God. That all you have to do is disobey God, and then you will be like God. They believed that lie, and so they rebelled against God and disobeyed God’s clear command.
