Quoting from scripture: As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. In this sermon it was said that Growth begins after you are born into the Kingdom, born anew and born from Heaven. There are people that come to church but are not born again; they have not received the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour.
You might be ten or twenty years in the Church, but if you are not born again, you cannot grow. If you are born again there is a desire in your heart to hear the word of God and grow. The pastor or teacher may have the desire to preach or teach, to expound the word of God diligently, faithfully and obediently, but except you have the desire to grow, you will not benefit from the teaching of the word of God because the perseverance of the teacher will mean nothing to you.
