The whole Christian life is all about righteousness because We are the righteousness of Christ. Righteousness is a nature and it is beyond just having a right standing with God. One of the basics of every Christian faith is righteousness. The opposite of righteousness is Sin because that is the nature of the devil. Every believer must be grounded in righteousness (nature) so as to stand against the nature of sin. There is a foundation that makes a believer grow in the righteousness of Christ that sustains a believer.
