The most potent channel of communicating our thoughts and ideas are words. One of the characteristics of most living things is breathing, locomotion, and the ability to communicate coherently. This differs with species, but humans possesses the most intelligent expression of these characteristics. What distinguishes Humans are our ability to communicate our thoughts, ideas and expressions through an array of channels distinctly. There are verbal and non-verbal communication. Amongst many communication channels privy to humans, words are the most potent form. Understanding the power of words, is a major subject in the school of authority and dominion. You cannot fully walk in dominion and victory in this Kingdom, if you do not understand the spiritual implication of words. Words can reveal the level of enlightenment of an individual or otherwise, and can also reveal the spiritual state of an individual. Understanding the power of words is a major subject in the school of authority and dominion. You cannot fully walk in triumph, in dominion, and in victory in this Kingdom, if you are not trained to understand the spiritual implication of words. Most Believers want to walk in victory, but they are unable to understand the role that words and speakings play, as far as creating their reality is concerned. Words can reveal the degree of enlightenment in a person. When you hear a person speak, intellectually, academically, or spiritually, you can use their words to have an accurate assessment of the advancement or bankruptcy of their understanding. On the spiritual state of a person, according to the Scriptures, speaking is one of the most visible evidences that a person is under the influence of The Holy Spirit. Scripture says what is seen is “Temporal”, which means “subject to change” under a certain condition. Words can be used to effect change on a condition, irrespective of how long it has persisted. You can use words and place them upon the lips of faith, to begin to effect change. The centurion understood the power of words. He said, “ONLY speak the word”, because he understood that the word has within itself the power to create change, whether spiritually, politically, psychologically, or otherwise. You can use words to build intimacy with God, to make your petitions and needs known to Him. Intimacy is a function of words and speaking. How you know you are building intimacy with God is that you use words to worship Him. You are not asking Him for things; you are simply expressing your love to Him. Resisting satan is not a one-off attempt, rather, it is continuous, and as long as he trespasses your domain, you have the power to drive satan away from your domain. However, you cannot keep him bound from coming to you (the power to keep him bound from making any attempts on your domain, is power of the age to come). The victory of the Believer is what is established, but the warfare of the Believer is still ongoing. Prayer and fasting doesn’t drive satan away. It builds the Believer up to enforce that which is finished in Christ Jesus. The activity of fasting is a vehicle that connects the Believer’s faith to enforce that which is finished in Christ. Your mentality sponsors your activity, it’s not the activity in itself that has potency.
