There have  truly been a wide spread of teachings on the concept of prosperity among Christians. A faction has thought folks never to assume being rich or having enough a way of serving God. They thought them that the best way to please God is to remain poor and broke. Where there has been need to live with moderation, the Bible has not told us not to desire a good life and comfort from God almighty even as we sojourn on the surface of the earth. Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith was not a beggar and it was not recorded that he borrowed money or lived in poverty. Theologians made us to understand that before he started His earthly ministry, he was a carpenter and must have been a successful one capable enough to keep His home. Among His disciples was one made the treasurer, can there be a treasurer when there are no treasures to keep? It is erroneous and misleading to embrace the mediocre way of live and give in to the devices of the devil to make the children of God for whom the riches of the earth is promised poor and miserable. The “love of money” Apostle Paul said ” is the root of all evil”. He did not say the better way of life that brings comfort to your soul and spirit is the root of all evil. However to desire wealth more than the will of God and setting one’s mind in the abundance of what one has become a snare and lead to damnation. Making money becomes one’s god and making it at all cost without considering the will of God is what the scripture preaches against. If you make money your god and only serve God to be blessed you may have yourself to blame in the end. You must be moderate in your desire for a upgraded lifestyle.
