After they had prayed, their meeting place was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. prayer is much more talked of than practiced, an average Christians pray about five minutes a day, and sadly he may have been a little optimistic in that low assessment. In truth we need prayer to be a daily, sustained and regular part of our lives. The power of the early church as recorded in Acts was repeatedly seen following their times of prayer.
