Find below some nuggets before downloading… The mission of addressing the subject of deliverance, especially as it concerns the believer in Christ, is rooted in the spiritual orientation that we are fighting from the standpoint of a finished reality in Christ. Deliverance is a theological description of the entire process that leads a believer into the experience of liberty, freedom and victory – victory over Satan, over demonic forces and over every limiting condition. (John 8:36) It is not just an event but a process that brings a believer into the full manifestation of the victory already secured in Christ. Language remains the primary vehicle for understanding; however, even the most unifying words can be interpreted differently, depending on one’s level of understanding. This is especially true when it comes to the concept of deliverance in the lives of many. For the believer in Christ, the concept of warfare and deliverance is the experiential outworking of the victory in Christ. The greatest expression of satan’s influence over a person is not in bringing calamity or tragedy upon them, but in having found a way to hijack the spirit and belief system of the person. The real power of Satan in the life of someone is his ability to hijack belief systems. Once this happens, the individual becomes vulnerable to anything. The implication is that Satan will cause you to think, act and behave in ways that allow demonic spirits to gain partnership in attacking you. In addition to casting out spirits, the real warfare is against corrupted thought patterns. Three principal gateways that allow access to demonic activity in the life of a believer: 1. Ignorance: Ignorance creates a doorway for Satan to gain access, even in the life of a believer in Christ. 2. Disobedience: When a believer walks in disobedience, it opens doors to oppression. 3. Covenants: Covenants are powerful because they carry generational implications and can sustain patterns beyond an individual. Most believers do not know that there is a labor and participatory dimension to manifesting our liberty in Christ; this is the essence of spiritual warfare. Satan’s influence is when he gains access to the belief system and spirit of a person. The real warfare is the warfare against belief systems. A stronghold is a faulty belief system that has fortified an individual to think in a certain way. At this stage, the individual is on a self-destructive path. Poverty and other negative circumstances can reflect belief systems that have partnered with demonic influence. When your belief system agrees with the Word of God, you will have the boldness to declare the Word of God and see its manifestation in your life. On the contrary, if your belief system does not agree with the Word of God, your life will become a plethora of negativities, your being a believer notwithstanding. Your belief system is how you come into partnership with God to make real the realities of the things that have been obtained through the finished work of Christ. However, it can also become a means of partnering with satan to sustain negative patterns in your life.
