BASIC GOALS OF A CHRISTIAN By Pastor E.A Adeboye

In a way to maintain consistency and determination, we set specific life goals. So that when the goals are achieved, they amount to some level of personal fulfilment within us. Goals are like yardsticks and incentives that guides and motivate us as we live our lives. Such as we always set certain goals on daily, weekly, monthly and yearly base for our earthly desires, It is important that we set basic goals for our Christain life as well. When there are no goals in mind, we do things with less commitment and devotion. We don’t care about what results we get from our actions and decisions. There are certain basic goals which must be the pivotal guidelines in the life of a Christain. These goals will guide and motivate such person to endure the test of time and appreciate the gift of patient knowing that it is all a preparation for the Glory of God waiting to be revealed. It must be the goal of a Christain to love Jesus Christ, not just for emotional reasons or doctrinal requirement but the genuine love out of the willingness to learn and obey His teachings. This love for Christ will then build the development of goal to make heaven even at the end of everything here on earth. This is a nice teaching that will enlighten you on the basic goals you need to set in your life as a Christain as you live awaiting the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
