EXCELLING IN GIVING By Rev Sam Adeyemi

The first and most perfect example of giving is the love of God that gives life onto us all, “for God so love the world that he Gave His only begotten son”. There is no other love that can be expressed greater than this. Every perfect gift is a product of love. In other words, the desire to give willingly and cheerfully always comes from a genuine heart, and such gifts are those that benefit most. When you don’t love, you wont be willing to sacrifice valuable or expensive things for a person. The level of your love for someone will determine the value and magnitude of what you can sacrifice for him. God sacrificed His son for you which determined the unconditional love He has for you. It is important that you also appreciate this matchless love by loving your brethren and be willing to sacrifice for them even as Christ love you and sacrificed himself for you. If you truly love God who had loved you first even before you ever love Him, you should always be willing to sacrifice your possession for Him even though you knew he has more than enough. One of the surest ways to access God’s provision and attract His presence is through sacrificial giving generated from a loving heart.
