God’s purpose for creating man was to take charge and control of the things He created. Man is to have dominion because the power for dominion has been released upon him, And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. All these are command from God, which are needed by man to have dominion. Man has the capacity to be fruitful, to multiply, to replenish and subdue the earth. Dominion is something you have, when you achieve your goals of being fruitful, multiply, replenish and subdue. You have a dominion, not take dominion. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: Man was made to “have” dominion – empowered to have dominion.
