Remembrance is an integral part of any covenant with God and that is why whenever God made a covenant with man, He gives a token as a sign of remembrance. It is important that both man and God remember the covenant so that it may always remain valid and attainable. Although God is almighty and all-Knowing, He does not deal with us always in that regards but relates with us in the dimensions that will make our relationship with Him a ask and give, remind and get type of relationship.
