UNDERSTANDING INTERCESSION By Pastor Daniel Olawande

One of the most important assignment that shaped the spiritual atmosphere in a person,church, city and nation’s life is the act of intercession. The office of an intercessor can be compared to that of a watchman who look after the affairs of the city and blow the trumpet when crises arise. So many people thought because the assignment of intercession is a backend operation, that it is not desirable and should not be embraced. However, in the Holy Trinity , the only entity that does not intercede is God the father for His love make all things happens. Jesus according to book of Hebrews and letters of Peter stand in the right hand of God interceding for the sins of the saints. If Jesus as powerful and glorified as He is still uphold the ministry of intercession then what could be more honorable Like it? The book of Romans tells us that “we know not what to pray but the spirit intercedes for us in the groaning that can not uttered”. Even the spirit help us to pray right and stand firm in the place of prayers. That you are not a pulpit minister does not mean you are not relevant in the kingdom of God. Intercession is the responsibility of every one because it is an act of murmuring if you complain about the person you have not pray for or you complain about the situation you have not prayed about. It is important that you understand the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the act of intercession. Most times you pray in the spirit not knowing what you ought to pray about but the spirit will lay in your heart the burden that must be offset.  Until such burden dissipate, you may not be free internally . This is a nice teaching on the subject of intercession, it is not enough to pray, you must pray the right way to get the right manifestation.
