Biography
Chidinma Ekile was born in Ketu, Kosofe, Lagos. She is the sixth child of seven children. She hails from Imo state, Nigeria. From a very tender age (6 years), she began singing, and when she was 10 years, she joined the choir in her church. She completed her primary and secondary school education in Ketu. Her family later relocated to Ikorodu. She had plans of studying Mass Communication but ended up studying Sociology at the University of Lagos (UNILAG). She worked as a business promoter in Lagos before auditioning for the 3rd season of the show “Project Fame West Africa”.
After Chidinma auditioned for the show, she was chosen alongside 8000 contestants that year (2010). She displayed her talent well, they were also trained by music professionals. On the finale of the show (26th of September 2010), she was announced the winner.
She won cash prize, a car and a production deal. She even signed an endorsement deal with MTN in 2013. Subsequently, she released numerous songs and albums, with several other pop artistes in Nigeria, and has performed in several musical concerts in Nigeria and abroad, but God had a bigger plan in mind for her….
