DEALING WITH THE FLESH by Apostle Michael Orokpo

One of the killers of grace, impact, a life of color and beauty is pride and vainglory. There is nothing as ugly as tasting increase, greatness, honor and crashing down and become a monument of warning to others. When God begins to lift you, Satan is not a fool, he will study your vulnerability, If you are not giving in to women, Satan will not use a woman to destroy you, Satan knows that enshrined in every man is the desire to receive the accolades of men, and this is where the mighty falls.

What a woman, money, persecution might not be able to do in the life of a man, you stab yourself with pride; vain glory, that affinity for the applauds of men. The interesting thing about God is that He gives you a measure of what he intends to give you and then watches your reaction. Many of us shock God and ourselves with pride and arrogant. Let us not be desirous of vainglory. A sign of desire of vain glory in you is that you begin to provoke people and envy people.
