The love of God for us as children is beyond measures. He has never wished that any of His creatures perish or suffers at the end of their lives. The volume of your predicament or suffering does not matter to the value of  love God has for you if you can call on Him with a clean heart. It is important to note that at any moment in your life when you feel you need not repentant, your value with God will be reduced. God will be glad to welcome the soul that admits that he/she is lost and seek repentance but feel disappointed at those who claim that righteous in the dealings but only glorifying in self righteousness.
