Repentance is not Brokenness. Brokenness is deeper than repentance. The absence of a broken and contrite spirit is for many of us, is the mystery behind not only the tragedies of our lives, but also the continued patterns and the reign of darkness over families, over territories and individuals.

That you are a christian is not enough. Brokenness is a state that God cannot deny. Brokenness is a state of complete surrender. It is a recognition of your imperfections and inadequacies outside of the Mercy and the help of God. Brokenness is a spiritual strategy that was invented by the wisdom of God to kill pride in the life of men.

Pride is behind the many sufferings of people, not sin. Nobody really suffers for being a sinner. We suffer for our pride. The power of genuine brokenness is a strategy that kills pride, it’s a strategy that kills self sufficiency in us.
